Pastel Sunset

Earlier this week I went on yet another sunset cruise in Santa Cruz, CA. It was a lot of fun and I love how the sunset looked on the water. A few years ago, when I last took this cruise, I painted another landscape but that time it was digitally on Adobe Fresco.

For this one, I used a medium I haven't used in almost 10 years. Soft pastels aren't the easiest medium to get used to but once I started getting going on it, I got more used to it.

This was done on white 12"x18" Strathmore 500 series charcoal paper.
